Mike Cox – Managing Director

Qualifications: BSc. Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA)
Experience and Specialisms: Corporate Finance – arranging finance and facilities for new and existing clients. Mergers & Acquisitions – assisting clients buy and sell businesses including management buy outs. Audit and statutory accounting work – acting as independent auditor and/or providing statutory accounting work in small and large companies including PLC work. Business Consulting – working with management to improve systems and processes including acting as quasi finance director. Tax advice – providing proactive and timely personal and corporate tax advice.
Outside work: Mike is a Governor of both Whiteheath Junior School and more recently Uxbridge College and also acts as a trustee of HSG Swallows Foundation, a sporting and athletic charity based in West London. He has considerable experience in the Charitable Sector with a leaning towards sporting charities and accepts that his sporting expertise these days is more in the financial aspects rather than as a competitor!
Zak Iqbal – Director of Audit and Forensic Services

Qualifications: BA (Hons), Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA)
Experience and Specialisms: Business start ups, accounts and audit (Registered as a Senior Statutory Auditor), of a wide variety of companies in many business sectors including the audit of solicitors practices, and general insurance. Zak also has extensive experience in Forensic accounting and litigation support, intellectual property disputes, dispute resolution, expert witness and due diligence, professional negligence, and share valuations. Commercial: debt collection and management, Zak is also a business consultancy, advisor to owner managed businesses and their directors. Taxation compliance and planning, providing proactive personal and corporate tax and commercial advice.
Outside work: Zak is a keen cricket all rounder playing in the Hertfordshire League. He has a questionable taste in music and continues to enjoy attending concerts and gigs in London and Leeds.
Catherine Chant

Qualifications: Trainee Accounting Technician
Experience and Specialisms: Catherine has been working at Cox Costello & Horne since February 2009 preparing year-end financial statements and training to take over the bookkeeping of four hairdressing companies.
Outside work: Catherine loves to spend time with her son Kalim, taking him to London museums and also going for nights out in London herself with friends.
Steve Freestone

Experience and Specialisms: Steve has extensive experience with statutory and non-statutory audits and preparation of accounts.
Outside work: Steve enjoys training for, and taking part in, triathlons and socialising with his friends.
Anthony Hargreaves

Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Economics with Accounting
Experience & Specialisms: Anthony has been working for Cox Costello and Horne since September 2010. He is training to become an Associate Chartered Accountant and assists in the preparation of accounts and both statutory and non-statutory audits.
Outside work: Anthony enjoys both playing and watching sport, particularly football. He also likes socialising with friends, scuba-diving and reading.
Fiona Mason

Qualifications: MAAT (Member of Association of Accounting Technicians) and qualified by experience
Experience and Specialisms: Fiona joined Cox Costello & Horne in March 1999. As the Audit and Accounts Manager she organises the team, takes the lead on audits and undertakes accounts preparation as and when required. In addition to this a good part of her time is taken up by management accounting and assisting companies in the day to day running of their businesses. Fiona specialises in the foreign currency and travel businesses but also has experience in other sectors as wide as nursing homes to manufacturing.
Outside work: Fiona likes to relax by cooking great meals for her family and friends.
Magdalena Trzaskowska

Experience and Specialisms: Magda has been working at Cox Costello & Horne since May 2006. She has experience in management accounts, accounts preparation and tax.
Outside work: Magda enjoys sport (Pilates, body balance, swimming, badminton), photography and travelling.

Experience and Specialisms: Maha has been working with Cox Costello & Horne since September 2007, working on statutory audits, Solicitors accounts and Accounts preparation.
Outside work: Maha is a mother of two young girls who take up all her time outside work!

Outside work: Luxmy is a busy mum running around after her energetic five year old.
