Dermot Costello – Tax Director

Qualifications: Chartered Tax Adviser

Experience and Specialisms: Dermot has over 20 years’ experience advising private clients and owner-managed businesses. He has several professional services clients which include personal service companies. He has advised on many corporate reorganisations and identifies tax planning opportunities for high net-worth individuals. Dermot is head of the Tax and People Services team at Cox Costello & Horne and his responsibilities include personal and corporate tax, payroll, company secretarial matters and IT systems. 

Outside work: Dermot enjoys holidays with his young family, including camping in the UK and Europe. He also enjoys playing golf and football, as well as watching rugby.

Clare Griffin

Qualifications: Member of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and Association of Taxation Technicians trainee (ATT)

Experience and Specialisms: Clare has been working at Cox Costello & Horne since June 2008 and works in the tax department.

Outside work: Clare has spent time in India training in yoga and alternative therapies and enjoys scuba and free diving when in hot countries! She enjoys relaxing with friends and family, going for long walks and spending time keeping up with her interests.

Rajinder Dhamu

Experience and Specialisms: Rajinder joined Cox Costello & Horne in April 2002, her main responsibility being running payroll for a vast number of clients and making sure the deadlines are met both on reports and payments. Her duties include processing salaries smoothly and efficiently, bacs payments for salaries/PAYE, dealing with the revenue on various queries, preparing end of year returns and other miscellaneous tasks.

Outside work: Rajinder enjoys a happy family and social life. She likes going to the cinema, long walks and occasionally playing badminton.

Hema Shah

Qualifications: BSc (Hons), Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).

Experience and Specialisms: Hema has been working at Cox Costello & Horne since September 2004. She has experience in undertaking statutory audits, preparation of financial statements and corporate and personal tax returns. She is presently managing the tax department.

Outside work: Hema enjoys cooking, playing badminton and socialising with her friends.
