Qualifications: BSc. Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA)

Experience and Specialisms: Corporate Finance – arranging finance and facilities for new and existing clients. Mergers & Acquisitions – assisting clients buy and sell businesses including management buy outs. Audit and statutory accounting work – acting as independent auditor and/or providing statutory accounting work in small and large companies including PLC work. Business Consulting – working with management to improve systems and processes including acting as quasi finance director. Tax advice – providing proactive and timely personal and corporate tax advice.

Matthew Shaw

Technical Director

Qualifications: BSc(hons), Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (FCA), Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants (FFA), Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants (Australia) (FIPA), Member of ICAEW’s Charities  Professional Community .

Experience and Specialisms: Accounting and Auditing of: international groups; small and medium-sized entities; charities and other not-for-profit entities. Matthew lectures on financial reporting, including the charity SORP for one of the UK’s Accountancy Regulatory Bodies. He also has extensive knowledge of client money regulation applicable to a number of sectors including Solicitors.

Daniel Rissen

Qualifications: LLB. Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA)

Experience and Specialisms: Supervision and training of trainee accountants. Over 20 years experience of company, partnership and sole trader accounts preparation plus statutory and client account audits (particularly for solicitors), personal and corporate tax work, dealing with HMRC enquiries and assisting start ups with bookkeeping and advising on accountancy software and systems. I like to help businesses grow!
